Web Hosting
Web hosting consists of two basic elements; Storage and Bandwidth. There are other variables but these are really the key ingredients. Many services, like GoDaddy, offer expansive amounts of both but the typical site only needs a fraction of what is offered.
Storage is where the files for your web site reside for public viewing on the Internet. Storage is critical if you’re going to host large amounts of images, photos, documents or even videos.
Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be transferred each month measured in bytes. Bandwidth is consumed when data is transferred from your hosting provider to the visitor’s computer for display. Every image, letter of text and any other content presented on your site consumes its share of bandwidth.
This value is typically measured in monthly allotments. So this resource is replenished at the beginning of each month. If you consume more bandwidth than you’re allotted your account usually gets suspended until the issue is addressed or the limit is increased.
We actively monitor and manage our dedicated web servers and provide enough bandwidth and storage to accommodate all our clients. we are notified of sites reaching their bandwidth limitation and will edeavour to adjust allotments to keep our client sites active. Unusual increases in traffic may result in suspension while we try to determine what is generating the overage.
